They should merge with MAC and go to a 20 team conference

That might be the best way to stay relevant in the current media and CFP battles. And the geography could work for a combination of those two.

But if they just want to go from 8 to 12, then I would say just based on football a few suggestions.

App State or Charlotte
Old Dominion
Western Kentucky
Middle Tenn
Southern Miss or Marshall possibly
